Missions
The Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office (OMPIC) is a self-financed public entity. It is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Upgrading of the Economy.
It has been entrusted with two main functions:
OMPIC registers the commercial names of companies
OMPIC holds the Central Trade Registry, in which the commercial names of the companies having activities in Morocco are registered.

It registers the commercial names

It issues all official documents (minutes, certificates, excerpts, etc.).

It carries out searches for information on the Trade Registry.

It publishes the annual and sectoral compilations of registrations in the Trade Registry.
OMPIC registers industrial property titles.
OMPIC holds the national registers of the three main industrial property titles which are the trademarks, the patents, and the designs or industrial models.

It ensures the reception of the requests and the registration of the property titles.

It registers the operations coming after the registration (transfer, deletion, end of rights.)

It issues all official documents in relation to these titles (minutes, certificates, copies, etc..).

It carries out searches for prior applications or registrations.

It provides legal assistance to the competent authorities and offers support to the economic operators in the field of
industrial property

It is in charge of the dissemination of information, by publishing the official catalogs of the trademarks,
patents
and
designs or industrial models

Internet
.
