Conventions and international agreements

With globalization as a backdrop, Morocco may only take part in the discussions making it possible to harmonize the international systems of protection of industrial property. For that purpose, OMPIC cooperates with organizations such as WIPO, and takes part in discussions within WTO, in particular for the TRYPS agreements. (links to glossary for the acronyms)

LThe main international treaties to which Morocco is party, and which will be useful for you to register your industrial property titles internationally, are:

  • Trademarks: The Madrid Arrangement
  • Patents: PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty)
  • Industrial designs and models: The Hague Arrangement
